O’ Visha Garaĺa Shankara, you are the great Lord who removed the fears and delusions of gods and demons by swallowing and storing the poison(the “hālahala” that came out of samundra manthanam) in your throat with ease and safeguarded from destruction of the creation. The left and the right eye symbolise the physical world while the third eye signifies to look beyond the obvious – the eye for knowledge. ![]() Trilochanaya you have three eyes symbolic of -The left eye representing the moon, the right eye representing the sun – and the third eye in the centre – fire. The coiling stands for the cyclic nature of time that implies that the Lord is beyond the wrath of time and death. The number three signifies time – past, present, and future. O’ Great Lord Nagendra hāraya, you wear the snake as the ornaments, representing- The snake wrapping in three rounds around Lord Shiva’s neck.
